The Role

As Balance's first BizOps hire, you'll be on the front lines as we scale to thousands of homeowners. You'll work closely with different internal teams to help craft the product we’re delivering and how we deliver it. This is a unique opportunity to join a startup at the perfect stage to shape strategy, operations, execution and culture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage strategic projects to improve our operations with a high degree of judgment and autonomy.
  • Provide decision making support and strategic guidance to team leaders. Use both qualitative and quantitative data to drive insights to ensure that we’re moving in the right direction while considering the right tradeoffs as we scale. 
  • Work on initiatives that ensure Balance’s ability to scale its offering to new and existing customer segments, and pave the way for serving thousands of customers in the future
  • Build internal tools — along and in partnership with teams — to support operations, scaling and measurement.
  • Develop KPIs & own reporting for projects and function.

About you:

  • 3+ years experience working in fast-paced dynamic environments such as startups, banking, investing or management consulting
  • Independent operator who’s comfortable with ambiguity
  • Track record of driving business outcomes
  • Comfortable performing data analysis and tracking KPIs
  • Excited about working at a fast-growing startup at its earliest stage
  • Compassion, patience, understanding & love
  • Above all: Relentless resourcefulness

Bonus Points:

  • Real estate portfolio management experience
  • Mortgage, fintech and/or lending experience
  • Experience building with low-code and no-code tools
  • Fluency with SQL
  • Demonstrated passion for real estate investing
